Women and Careers (2009)
Women’s International Network (W.I.N) is a company based in Lausanne, that serves the purpose to ensure that women with careers have an independent network where they can openly debate topics relevant to being a woman in male-dominated industries. Marie O’Hara from WIN came to EHL to address to the women of the Career Club the idea of organizing a larger conference where one could include all EHL’s female students and a couple of female industry leaders, to learn the balance between being a woman and a business person at the same time.
H-TALK (23 April 2008)
In collaboration with CHESS Partnership and EnPassant Magazine, the Career Club organised an open panel discussion with 5 top industry leaders: Philipp Mosimann (Mosimann’s Collection, London), Des Gunewardena (D&D London), Beat Grau (Autogrill, Suisse), Matthias Draeger (SV Group) and Christian Delteil (Chess Executive). During the day the industry leaders, and their colleagues, interacted with students at round-table discussions and at a panel where 170 students from EHL, Les Roches and César Ritz hotel schools were able to ask questions directly to the leaders of the panel. It was a great chance for students and top industry professionals to interact in an open exchange of information. After the panel, there was an apéro sponsored by Autogrill where the students could meet the panel members on a one-to-one basis. Following the apéro there was a dinner at the Berceau des Sens restaurant where Career Club members had a chance to network with the industry professionals.

Gastronomia (2008)
Every two years specialists within the hotel, restaurant and catering sector meet in Lausanne at the “Salon Gastronomia”. This Food and Beverage fair aims at offering industry leaders a platform to discover new ideas, exchange on current trends and transformations within this sector of hospitality and surely to maintain and establish valuable contacts.
The Career Club together with the EHL Junior Enterprise managed to secure itself a stand for this year’s fair. On the one hand the Career Club represented EHL as the leading Hotel Management School in the world and on the other hand it got a great opportunity to promote its own activities and thus connect with the industry and gain valuable contacts for the future. We still keep in touch with them until today.

The aim was to find out if this exhibition had potential for future educational student travels for lower semester students (MP1s, preparatory year students).
